Linda Sinitz always knew she wanted to be a family lawyer—in the truest sense of the word. As the daughter of a lawyer, Linda watched her father represent multiple generations and after partnering with him in a small general practice, she had the unique opportunity to represent the children and grandchildren of her father’s clients. Now married to a lawyer, Linda has continued to not just represent families, but to also make practicing law a family affair.
Though Linda’s family law experience is deep and varied, nothing has been more valuable to her education as a lawyer than having her own children and watching them raise her grandchildren. Linda has done extensive work as a Guardian ad Litem representing the best interests of children in family court, and she has served as a Waukesha Family Court Commissioner making difficult decisions with lasting impact. However, as a mother and grandmother she knows, first hand, the unique and difficult challenges young parents face today.
Linda’s clients say she is calm and collected, a good listener, and that she gets the job done. Professionally and personally, Linda can always be counted on to give back, serve others, and do the right thing.
Excellent at connecting with others, Linda often takes it upon herself in ways both large and small to improve her clients’ lives and their communities. A native of Wauwatosa, WI, Linda served on the Stewardship Committee at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is currently a member of the Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club where you can find her at all the shows and nearly all of the practices.
Linda attended UW-Oshkosh where she received a Bachelor of Arts in German and Spanish and a Bachelor of Science in K-12 education. She graduated from Marquette University Law School where she was recognized for high achievement in the study of family law. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Waukesha County Bar Association and the family law sections of both organizations.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time watching her grandchildren participate in soccer, skiing, tennis, ice skating, and gymnastics. She also enjoys spending time at the Door County summer home that has been in her family for 67 years.
