Karp & Iancu Law Firm Scholarship

Karp & Iancu Law Firm, divorce lawyers in Wisconsin, are pleased to offer a scholarship for law students in the United States and high school students in Wisconsin who aspire to attend law school. Karp & Iancu Law Firm is committed to supporting the next generation of legal professionals. It aims to contribute to the education of one student from Wisconsin for the fall 2025 semester.

The Karp & Iancu Law Firm Aspiring Attorney Scholarship ($3,000)

requires a submission process via the below Google Form. Each applicant must submit a short essay of 1000 words outlining how divorce shapes the lives of parents and children.

Family law plays a crucial role in shaping the lives and futures of both parents and children. It governs the relationships between family members, addressing matters such as child custody, support, adoption, and divorce. In your essay, explore how family law influences the well-being of parents and children, considering the immediate and long-term consequences of legal decisions in areas such as custody arrangements, financial support, and access to resources.

Discuss the potential challenges and opportunities that arise when family law is applied in diverse family situations, and how the law can balance the rights of parents with the best interests of children. Reflect on how these legal frameworks can contribute to or hinder the creation of stable, nurturing environments for children and how the law can empower or challenge parents in their roles.

Your essay should also consider the broader social, economic, and emotional implications of family law, highlighting any gaps or areas where reform may be needed to better support families in difficult circumstances.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Wisconsin
  • Must be attending college or university in the United States or a high school senior in Wisconsin pursuing a career in law in the fall 2025 semester.
  • You must complete the Google form, including an essay response of 1000 words outlining how divorce shapes the lives and futures of both parents and children. In addition, please explain the main reason or reasons why you decided to become a lawyer and how you see yourself impacting this field.
The deadline to apply is July 1, 2025
